Despite being a native, Katie also relates to Austin newcomers, having moved back home three times after stints in New Orleans, Washington, D.C., and New York. We are the sum of our experiences. Katie is the mother to a young daughter and a scruffy rescue dog, a volunteer at Communities In Schools and Shalom Austin, a home gardener and practicing yogi.
